I called two of my neighbors to let them know about the incident. One neighbor, right next door, saw the car in my driveway and wondered what they were doing there...then she saw me pull in a couple of minutes later & figured I had a friend visiting and he was waiting for me to arrive home from work.
But speaking of firearms, it turns out I'm surrounded by them! I know it's hypocritical, but I feel safer with mine...but I'm not sure I feel safer knowing how many my neighbors have them
My one neighbor, who works as a contractor, has a lot of valuable tools and when I told him what happened, he asked me if I had a gun, then proceeded to tell me about all the rifles, glocks & sigs he owns. It wasn't as reassuring as I thought it would be.
