Very suspicious! Great job getting the plates. Sounds very much like they were going after your trailer. We have had a lot of unusual people driving pickups through our neighborhood lately, many are looking for work. I don't leave the garage doors open or our lawn mower or tools out unattended anymore when I take breaks from working. Our neighborhood has had thefts in broad daylight.
