From my own experience... my pup was running through some tallish grass... came home and for a week was sneezing so hard he almost knocked himself out by his head hitting the floor. And then I would see a puddle of thin mucous and saliva wherever he was sneezing at. We went to the vet 3-4 times (he quit charging me for the appt).
After the last appointment, we went home and I looked up his nose with a flashlight after one particularly bad episode (he would not sneeze at the vet's), I saw something green! I grabbed a pair of tweezers and gently removed a 6 inch long piece of grass. His body was making mucous to try to coat the grass so it wouldn't hurt any tissues in his nose and throat, along with a slight allergic reaction. Once the grass was gone he was one happy pup!
Your situation sounded all too familiar. I hope she recovers quickly and it's something simple. |
