Pups at that age tend to sleep a lot its at that time when they do their growing. Plus it is important that they get plenty of rest and several small meals to prevent Hypoglycemia (low sugar). It is normal for them to sleep a lot ! Even my pups at ages 11, 9, 7 and 3 sleep a lot. All dogs also sleep more during the summer months due to the heat.
