I totally understand what your little girl's going through. Yazmin went through a terrible phase of separation anxiety several months ago when I returned to work. With several suggestions from YT members, below is a list of things that works great for my little girl.
I copied and pasted it here from my past thread, hope this helps your girl.
1. I purchased her a cage and covered it with a blanket so she would feel more secure. She has her bed in the cage also.
2. I leave a plain tee shirt with my scent on it that I wore the night before.
3. I purchased the Comfort Zone Plug-In Diffuser
4. I leave CD's on continuios play of Harp Solo music and downloaded a CD called, Through A Dog's Ear:Calm your Canine Down Vol. 2.
5. I purchased a Thundershirt from one of our YT members, Kristin, (Maximo).
6. I start playing the CD's 1/2 hour before I leave and no longer go through a long "Good Bye" ritual with her, just a quick "Be a good girl".
7. I purchased an Interactive Treat Puzzle to greet her with when I come home. |
