  That is true with the too long muzzle in the show ring.  But there is a fine line between too long and too short.  Unfortunately the YT Standard has not been updated for a very long time.  
In my breed we have ratios or proportions for muzzle length, to cranium, to neck length to head over all size.  
Head is very important in our breed.   
We also have DQ's on teeth as well as major faults on teeth.  Anything other than a scissor bite is a DQ. 
So I digress yet again....
