Thanks for posting this. I had not heard about water intoxification before, and I swim with my pups all the time.

I am just trying to find out more now. I do limit the time in each individual foray into the water. Our maximum time is 30 minutes.

I also have them drink from their water bowls, so that they don't drink the lake water.

When as we frequently do, have a day at the lake, with repetitive swim times, they have homemade treats in between swims.

I am wondering now if I should make up special treats, with a bit of sea salt on the dried treats....
