As far as flea and tick topical medication (I used to work at Hartz) all of them are the basically the same. Some animals are more delicate/sensitive than others so if you plan on using any flea and tick product be sure to follow the direction and ALWAYS use the appropriate dosage according to the dogs weight. You don't know how many times I would receive a call from someone using product for dogs that weigh 50lbs on a 5lb dog and complain the dog was having a negative reaction. Use only on dogs or puppies 12 weeks or older and do not use if they are less than 5 lbs.

If you ever notice a reaction to any topical flea and tick treatment quickly wash with warm water and dish soap (dawn). These products are usually oil based and the dish soap will really help remove it.

Using it according to direction doesn't guarantee your pet will not have an adverse reaction, like I said some animals are more sensitive than others.

I personally try to refrain from using flea and tick products but little Abu got fleas last year and I had to do it and he was fine (he did look greasy though- poor thing)

I miss him
