And I hear of it happening FAR too often. Police killing dogs and most of the time it's not for a valid reason.

I completely understand that a police officer has to defend himself, and protect the people, and sometimes unfortunate circumstances happen where, yes, the lives of people simply have to come before dogs... but there was NO justification for this. The man was not a hardened criminal and was fully cooperating (he was videoing on a public street, NOT a crime...) and the dog was not even in 'attack' mode... moments before he was shot, he was sniffing the ground calmly. He initially started barking yes when they arrested his owner, like most dogs would. Ugh, just sick...

It's just sickening and disgusting. Something needs to be done.
