We get oppressively hot, humid air during the day then by mid or late afternoon the rain starts and it pours for hours sometimes. I live in a higher elevation but our region has had lots of flood warnings for the last few weeks. Last year we had a lot of rain like this and then it went right into a drought.
Yeah, they will have the fireworks eventually but they don't have them near where we live so hopefully things will stay quiet. I haven't gone to a firework display since my kids were younger. I like to watch them on TV though.
