Keeping the room dark and calm, no load noises will help her feel comforted and help her progress. I hope you are prepared to assist if mamma gets overwhelmed. Sometimes they are hours apart and sometimes the pups come one right after another, within minutes not giving mom much time to rest. I myself always clip and cut the cords, take care of the pups while mamma tends to the placenta so that she does not become tired or overwhelmed.
