Well the crate is a wonderful tool- if you are using it correctly. When Peanut was a puppy he slept in his crate, unless he was on the bed- during the day he was in his xpen. However if he did something that was wrong, I corrected him and placed him in his crate. He was a really good puppy so he hardly got in trouble. I think in your case she is just restless. Can you play with her ˝ to hour before you go to sleep? I think an hour or so before bed time would be great- since puppies have endless amount of energy you have to make sure to drain it all!! While you are sleeping and if you correct her to stop barking or biting and she doesn’t listen- put her in her crate, with a blanket or sheet over it. A couple nights of not getting her way, sleeping in the crate should correct her…. When you wake up and if she was good, let her out and reward her for being a good girl.
Do you work with her during the day? Train her how to do any commands? Peanut loves our training times. He gets that special one on one time. He loves to learn new tricks and of course get treats… I think training them to do tricks is really good- it teaches them more than just the trick you are trying to do.
