Sewing has come such a long way since I was in school which is where I learn most of what I know. Even the terms have changes. Like Base stitch is now called Stay stitch I though stay stitch was some sort of Spray starch !

Isn't basting a temporary seam...and a stay stitch is so the seam doesn't stretch?
If they change all the terms I am lost!
