I flew from Baltimore to Michigan (on Southwest) and picked Mia up myself. My breeder, Lori Leskiw, was kind enough to pick me up at the airport and take me back to her home for my lay over. It was less expensive than a courier, and I think we both felt better meeting face to face. I got to see where Mia grew up, and meet some of the other dogs. I also got to check Mia over before handing over money and taking her home. Lori got an opportunity to watch me interact with Mia. I think it helped her feel better about turning over her baby to me. We had talked many times on the phone, and we both felt good about each other, but meeting face to face relieved some of the worry. I would fly again to pick up a new fur baby without hesitation. And best of all, in addition to bringing home my little heart girl, my breeder has grown to become one of my dearest friends. What an unexpected blessing that has been.
