I think it's VERY important to specify in your Will
any pet, and not just to name names....it saves keep going back and changing it.
Also, we've gone beyond ".....to my daughter" - we've imagined the worst case scenario (say Andy, Anna and I were in an accident, not very likely, but a possibility) and sorted out the just-in-case.
We've also specified a sum of money to be used for 'whoevers' care, in every way....and to recompense the 'carer'.
All a dreadful, frightening thought.....but once it's done it's actually quite reassuring
