Congratulations!!
When my son was born, my beagle was 11 years old. When we brought Michael home from the hospital, my husband carried him in and I made a BIG fuss over Benji. Then we let Benji smell Michael and hear him cry etc. Everyone who came to visit, made a big fuss over Benji and then went in to see Michael. Whenever I was holding Michael I would also pet Benji with the other hand. I always tried to include him. Then when my son would go to sleep I made sure Benji got my undivided attention. It's hard, because you will be tired etc. but it will be worth it to have your fur baby and your skin baby be friends!! Wishing you the very best!! |
