You ever hear of that saying

"It is never to late to train an old dog new tricks"

Well dogs are more than willing to please us and with the right kind of encouragement even a dog who is untrained will do what is asked of them as long as there is tons of praise and consistency in the training.

You could suggest cage training or leash/tethering to your aunt. Both can be found on my site.
