Hi! I have a suburban and I used the console booster seat all the time when my furbabies were puppies. It worked great! It's not easy getting into the storage compartment, but it can be opened a little bit with the console still on. The back straps on the console go through the left seat and the right seat and then fasten and the front straps go under the console storage compartment lid/top and hook. It is very secure. I have the small one and my 5 pounder can barely fit in it. I now use the big booster seats in the backseat or I crate them. Hope this helped some.
