Welcome to YorkieTalk. She could have been abused, but my female does the cowering thing too, and she's never been hit. She is just submissive and easily intimidated.
I would just continue working with her. Reassure her with a cheerful voice and let her know she's okay. Maybe give her a treat when you pick her up and work on calling her to you with positive reinforcement and yummy treats. |
