Give her a nice treat from the SWHouston Pack ! |
You know, that's exactly what she was doing. She was never far from my side. We gave her treats every night after dinner. We had to...she sat right in front of the cookie jar to make sure we didn't forget.
We had her 13 years and I loved that dog more than I can tell you. She developed Canine Degenerative Myelopathy late last year and on Easter morning this past March, she told us she had had enough and asked us to release her. So, with heavy hearts, we went to the animal hospital and I held her while she took her last breaths. When it was over, I cried like an 8 year old. While I love my new puppy Abigail, I still miss my Chatty.
Isn't it funny how attached we become?
