One more thing. My husband was adopted but he knew his birth parents and they were invited to the wedding. Unfortunately they didn't receive theit invitation. They were heartbroken and drove 200 mile just to sit outside of the church. I don't think we had an RSVP thing or we would have noticed their not responding.
I fully understand the children thing. Don't have any, don't particularly care to be around them for extended periods of time, but the part about the birth parents made me want to cry!
