Default red swollen foot pads

Our tuppy is 6 years old, she licks her front feet all the time, she licked a spot on her front foot just above the foot and it turned dark brown and she licked a hole in it. We rushed her to the vet, she put her on antibiotics for 7 days. She still has the brownish spot, but I have kept it bandaged and used triple antibiotic on it. Now her paw is very red on the pads between the toes and we see a deep black, what looks like a lesion or hole deep in the bottom of her right pad. We are taking her to the vet tomorrow. I removed a small piece of grass a few days ago from the same foot pad and didn't see that black hole. She is not limping and I am putting Vit A and D ointment on it. I have ordered some doggypaw socks and ointment for her paws, but the deep black area scares us. Please does anyone know anything about something like this? She is our baby and we are worried.
