What about Fromm? They've never been recalled & a lot of members here have had great experiences with Fromm. They have a grain-free line, if that's what you're looking for. I've fed Acana & Earthborn Holistic with good results. Mine are eating Royal Canin now as well. I've also been thinking about switching them to a "higher quality" food. But they're all doing so well & I have a lot of trust in the company...so I always fall back on it. I've also been through SO MUCH trying to find something that my picky one will actually eat. So I'm kind of scared to make a change.
I agree that rotating between brands of food is good. I also feed Stella & Chewy's, Primal, and Vital Essentials freeze-dried. But RC is probably going to be a staple around here for a long time
