Some really good breeders don't have websites or very good ones. And some really bad breeders have really sharp looking websites with big pictures (and you never know about the photoshopping!) The opposite may also be true, of course.

Yet, IMHO, a website provides limited and minimal information about any puppy - and may not be the best way to pick a breeder (or puppy.)

You may want to find a show breeder. That person may not even have a website but perhaps only a Facebook page. Best way to meet a show breeder is probably to attend some local, upcoming shows.

Try your local YTCA breeder referral lists. Also, AKC has breeder referral lists. Ask here for referrals on the breeders forum or regional forum.

Once you find a breeder, make a phone call (or 2 or 3 - a good breeder has nothing to hide and doesn't mind your questions), pick his/her brain, then decide whether you want to take a trip to see the puppies.
