Yes, Awareness, make as many people aware of what you know, send emails, forward sites and info,,some of my friends have said " STOP" but I don't
and I tell them , " Do you wanna bury your head and not know what's going on in our area?" (tons of puppy mills in my area.)
Don't buy animals from petstores, dont support them at all, tell friends about that. Write letters to your state reps or newpapers, Making everyone aware, is a beginning. I get so frustrated, and want to do something also, I try, but it is so hard, but trying to make a difference, and spreading the word is a start.
