The Yorkies (at least mine) are a little more Independent than the Malts. They (Malts? are more baby like and always want on your lap. The grooming of the malts is a little different as a white dogs shows the dirt and tear stains more, but they ALWAYS smell so delicious! I've always had both of the breeds, and I love both equally. I couldn't chose between the two, so I have 2 of each! If you care about the pigment, size, and coat texture of the Maltese chose from a reputable breeder. They are funny little dogs that are beautiful, and a joy to own!!
