My 8-week old pup had silver at his roots - and by 4 months, he was a "silver little Yorkie." He has a light tan on his face, legs, etc.
What really made me notice it - was his first trim....the black just went away!
I think the silver/tan Yorkie ares very pretty. There are pictures of many of them if you look around at the different Yorkie pictures on this site.
