This thread is old, but I thought I'd put in my experience for any future Google-ers.

My little Leroy had a very dark face when he was little, but now that he's older (15 weeks) his face has lightened up considerably and I'm sure will continue to look lighter and lighter (the roots of the fur on his face are very light, it's really only the tips giving him any darkness at all).

The first picture is him at 9 weeks, the second is a recent picture of him at 14 weeks.
