Brazil - uses the name biewer terrier.

The vast majority outside of the US still use the original name Biewer Yorkshire Terrier. The sole reason the name was changed in the US was under the advise of AKC.

I know of dogs which are dual registered and what they are called is all determined by where they are registered.
Thank you Deb....her registration calls her a Biewer Yorkshire Terrier...she is with the IBC..German Registration. Her parents are German imports. I loooove this breed and this site, what learning experience!!
Is the AKC anywhere near recognizing this breed? Or are we ions away still? Just curious.
