she is about 4 kg (8lb) and her brother is 2kg (about 4lb). i'll see what the vet says about when to spay. if it is a silent heat i'll have to wait 3 months for the hormones to settle. i'll know(the expensive way) in 2 months if he got lucky

is there a test they can do to find out if she is in heat?
