hi my 10 month girl had her first season in march..it lasted a month. i am planning to get her spayed after her next season as i don't want (or didn't i should say as you will find out) she is showing no signs of being in estrus but yesterday her brother a direct litter mate mounted her i did not see a tie but there was a yelp and "evidence". i asked the vet if it is possible she is still in heat they said it could be dominance. i have heard of a "silent" heat but there isn't any swelling are there any other symptoms i should look for? and if she was mated what would be the safest course of action for her?
the 2 pups never sleep in the same crate and i never leave them unsupervised together except this one time when i nipped to the loo
