What Deen admitted to saying is the problem - no need try to whitewash it. I'm sure she's big enough and strong to defend herself for what she did and said. I doubt she expects her fans to try to cover for her in some way if she's a good person.
And don't worry Taylor, your mom and dad and grandparents love you, raised you to do right and any one of them would glady surrender themselves to authorities before they would ever allow you to lie to police to try save them just the same as you would do if the tables were turned. Protective love works both ways.
