OMG no......at best, calling someone "FAT" is just hurtful, hateful, and insensitive. It certainly is not on the level of a "racial slur"......actually has nothing to do with race, so regardless of how mean spirited, insulting, denegrating, and humiliating the "FAT" person feels at being called that, they just need to suck it up....kind of like a debate I was listening to the other day...throwing the term "retard" around....kids always saying that in their conversations with each other....there again, not a politically hot topic, so no big deal.....except to the person they are laughing at and pointing at and calling a retard. But then where would we be if we deteriorate into a society that has "WORD AND PHRASE REGULATORY COMMITTEES" whose sole purpose is to seek out and punish people for saying words or phrases that, in the committee's opinion, are deemed inappropriate. You can not legislate morality.....where do we draw the line? I dont think I am "reacting" to this thread???? Just contributing, along with the many other thought provoking ideas......
