Actually, the visor is a lot less maintenance than a full topknot. When it is short, it does a great job of keeping his hair out of his eyes, like in the photo with the green toy. I just wanted to see if I could get him in a full topknot. Until a few weeks ago, he never had a topknot at all. I have always had the visor to hold his hair out of his eyes, and will probably go back to it. I have almost trimmed his visor off with each of his last 3 baths...he is just too hard to keep in a topknot, and right now he is running around with no eyes
I think it all started when I started growing out that shaved bridge of his nose that a groomer gave him.
