The newspaper here periodically has an insert with names of people with unclaimed property. I always looked at the list and thought to myself "Who are these losers who can't keep track of their own stuff???" THEN I SAW MY NAME. Turns out, it was $1000 worth of stock certificates. I never sold them, and 5 years later, they are worth $7000.
I am richer, But I FEEL LIKE A FOOL.
