You always need the blood work done! My Uncle had there puppy they took in to get spayed and found out she had a liver problem when they did the blood work and she would have died had they spayed her then. She had to go to a specialist to get spayed and have her liver flushed and special care taken. The blood work can save your dogs life please get it done.
