I think I'm going to start doing this tomorrow. I didn't think about doing it this way for some reason.
I've been feeding him too much too. I've already got a little cup with the measurements written on the side of it form 1/4 to 1 cup.
I'm at home all day also, so I will be able to do this routinely.
