One of my favorite things to do is too discover and write down new facts about different topics. I like learning about new things. For this topic, I thought that I would talk about Yorkshire terriers. Some of you are probably familiar with these facts already, but I wanted to share some fun Yorkie tidbits with everyone. >Common coat colors in Yorkshire terriers are gray, black, tan, and gold
>The Yorkshire terrier was first introduced in North America in 1872. The first Yorkshire terrier was registered with the American Kennel Club in 1885.
>Some movies that yorkies have appeared in have included Funny Face, A fish called Wanda, Meet the Fockers, Daltry Colhoun, and Urban Legend.
>Yorkshire Terriers were first known as Broken-Haired Scotch Terriers. In 1870, their name changed to Yorkshire Terriers.
>Smoky was a popular yorkie in the war during the 1940's
>In 1984, the first piebald/multicolored yorkie puppy was part of a litter in Germany. Today, multicolored Yorkies are rare and hard to find.

) may be small but they have courageous and loyal personalities. They care deeply about their owners and will even act as guard dogs sometimes.
