I stopped participating because of all the extra work with having hint threads and the drama... whether or not I receive a GE gift in which someone spent over the limit was irrelevant.

For me the $$$ spent doesn't matter if someone wants to spent over the limit that's their prerogative as we sign up knowing what the required amount of spending is.
