Personality is dog specific in my eyes. Nilla is my shadow wherever I go (she's napping on my lap as I type), and she just loves everyone. I've heard male dogs tend to favor female owners and vice versa, and maybe that would have been the case with Nilla if I wasn't the one who paid most attention to her, but she's just turned out to be my best friend and I love her unconditionally! I would love to have a male, but I am forever hesitant of marking habits. I would always personally be wondering if he was at home peeing on the furniture or something ... It's just my overly paranoid personality -- I know there are plenty of males that don't mark! Maybe you can go and see the puppies and see which one you click with the most, or ask about their personalities and see which one's habits would best suit your lifestyle?
