I never wanted a boy for my own pet once I learned about marking but I got 9 mo. old Tibbe under some unusual circumstances even though I went to look at a girl puppy. Once I started home with him in the car, I was so worried he might mark. But he never has and temperament-wise and other-wise, he's just as sweet and loving as my Jilly was. He's a ham and attention-lover but that is probably just his nature and nothing to do with his gender. I think either sex is sweet and have found that to be true whatever the breed.
