there IS A very long thread here in General Discussion Forum, the one that you are in; that is entitled I am going to get a DNA test done.

Your boy looks like either a Parti or a Biewer.

Some of the Yorkies can get quite large; we have a teapot club here for our YOrkies that have more to love!

Unfortunately (or not), although the Standard for the YOrkie is up to 7lbs, it is not uncommon in a litter to have the outliers - those that are definitely tracking to weigh a whole lot more than 7lbs at maturity.

It looks like your dog is tracking anywhere from 13-15 lbs or more when full grown.

If full bred status is important to you, and what you paid for, then you might consider a DNA test that is elaborated upon in the earlier thread I mentioned.

One thing bothered me, though. The vet told me that he was really too big to be a Yorkie. He's two months and already he's five pounds. Our vet said that if he had to guess, he would say that boomer is a mix. When I told him that I have the papers to have him registered, he just told me that with those it's more of an honor thing. I dunno. I think Boomer looks like a Yorkie, especially in the face.

Do any of you know how big a Yorkie can get? What the vet said really made me think he's not a Yorkie, I mean, I'll love him the same regardless, but now I'm just curious.
