I have a dog that has beginning renal disease. I think it is a bit related...

any way my vet wanted me to use Hill's kd. I can get him to eat the kibble, but he will not eat the can. So.. I have done a lot of research on homecooking. It is hard for a sick dog but can be done. I invested in a gram scale and really follow the recipes.

I think the most important advice is to be sure to get the diet (recipe) from a vet nutritionist.. follow and monitor closely.
