I wonder about using this method, as it seems it's fear based rather than positive reinforcement. Toto is a crazy barker. And he doesn't stop. Uni will bark but eventually stops and huffs. But we have an air compressor at work that we use to play with her sometimes (shoot air at her) so I doubt that would work to make her stop barking, she thinks that's play time!
