I have to check her levels yearly to make sure they are going down. So now 3 years later she is still testing positive for Lyme but her levels are low. She doesn't need any meds for it now. I kinda blame myself for her getting Lyme because people told me not to give her the Lyme Shot. Saying it was very doubtful she would get Lyme, but she did get bite with a deer tick and got Lyme. I could have prevented it by giving the shot. I really had to think long and hard about giving my Chloe who was only 3 lbs at the time the Lyme Shot. But in talking with my Vet in the end I decided for her to get the shot because of the area where we live and because my other dog got Lyme. So now both my girls get the Lyme Shot. Oh yes my girls get the Frontline Plus applied monthly year round along with their heatworm pill.
Thank you....I blame myself too.
