I was using Trifexis, but I started hearing horror stories about it and switched to Sentinel. It's a monthly tablet, and it fights heartworms, a couple different types of intestinal parasites, and fleas. I found that it's actually more cost effective than Trifexis too (I told the veterinarian that I wanted to make the switch and they sold me 6 months worth for dogs under 10 lbs for $31 -- not too shabby!). No problems thus far -- knock on wood! The only thing is I'm not entirely certain if it controls ticks. I found out Trifexis didn't have any effect on ticks when I started looking more into it after hearing rumors of problems in people's dogs.
