We got our "Brie" 8 days ago from an excellent breeder. In pertinent part her guarantee reads

"THIS PUPPY IS GUARANTEED FOR THE 1ST YEAR OF ITS LIFE AGAINST CONGENTIAL ANOMALITIES SUCH AS LEG PERTHES, HIP DYSPLASIA, OR LUXATING PATELLAS.

THIS PUPPY HAS A LIFETIME GUARANTEE, AGAINST LIFE THREATENING CONGENTIAL ANOMALIES, SUCH AS LIVER SHUNT, OR A DEFECTIVE HEART. IF THIS PUPPY DEVELOPS SUCH A CONGENTIAL ANOMALITY, I WILL REPLACE THE PUPPY WITH A MALE/FEMALE OF LIKE VALUE, UPON THE RETURN OF SAID PUPPY. HOWEVER, IF YOU DECIDE TO KEEP THIS PUPPY, A PARTIAL REFUND WILL BE CONSIDERED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS."

Brie was shipped by air from the breeder on an 1 1/2 hour flight. We took her to the vet the same day. He stated that Brie was about the healthiest Yorkie puppy he had seen and that she obviously came from a good breeder.
