I think a lot of it has to do where you live and the demand. I live in Ca and as with everything else, yorkies are expensive here and they are sold super fast. I paid $1600 for Bailey, but he's show quality with a nice pedigree. I intend on showing him. If I were to buy a 'pet quality' yorkie with no intentions on showing, I'd spend, at the most $500. I saw some show quality yorkies for less than that, but they weren't what I wanted in a yorkie. It just depends
