You did right by taking him to the vet asap. He may have ingested something poisonous. Check your house for household plants as well. Many people don't know they are toxic. I've been doing this over 15 years and I've heard and learned much. There are numerous reasons he could have been vomiting but thankfully he's ok. Never use any cleaner with the last three letters sol either. For example pinesol, lysol. Sub is great for hydration.
