 Baxter and his teeth
Yesterday, my mom got a yorkie. He's 5 mos 3wks old and adorable. Question is this, I noticed when she brought him over yesterday that he had awful breath. Well today I'm puppysitting for her and I noticed him chewing on "air". I opened his mouth and saw that one of his molars (I can't remember the dog name for them!) was bleeding. It looks like it may be loose. The earliest the vet could see Baxter is monday, but if you guys think this is something very serious, I'll take him to another vet. She said he wouldn't eat his hard food, but did finally eat some of the soft food. Whether this is due to him just being spoiled on it or his teeth hurting him I don't know. Anyone have any experience with this? I am really hoping he doesn't have some sort of gum disease, but I'm leaning more towards that prognosis. |
